Learn More about Alternative Healing Methods and Holistic Medicine
Is there a scientific basis for Theta Healing? If so, how does this Alternative Healing Method work?
YES! An overly simple description of the science behind Theta Healing is to say that it is a technique of applied quantum mechanics engineering. Despite how mystical and miraculous it may sound, the Theta Healing alternative healing methods are grounded in hard science - namely quantum physics and cutting edge consciousness research. Dawn Phillips is an MIT trained engineer who has applied scientific scrutiny to his Theta Healing study and practice and found not only that Theta Healing produces measurable results, but that the mechanism by which it works is now being uncovered by physicists.
Descriptions of the metaphysics behind how and why Theta Healing works can be found in many books, and in the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know". In addition, there are collaborations being currently arranged to provide scientific study and analysis of the Theta Healing technique to prove in solid, scientific terms how and why it works. Finally, there is an abundance of anecdotes with supporting medical evidence from Theta Healing clients who have experienced dramatic healing from this Holistic Therapy Medicine.

I have condition X - can Theta Healing help me?
No matter what your challenge is, if you are willing to take responsibility for your own life and are willing to work with Dawn to explore the core problems behind your injury, illness, or unhappiness, you have the potential to make dramatic positive changes in your life.
It is called "Theta Healing" because the practicioner enters a Theta brainwave state when performing the technique. This has been verified by experiments involving Theta Healing practicioners and scientists using ECG machines to prove that Theta practicioners are indeed achieving a Theta brainwave.
There are four well known brainwaves - alpha (7-12 Hz), beta (13+ Hz), theta (4-7 Hz), and delta (below 4Hz). Alpha is normally associated with meditation and relaxation. Beta is the typical conscious waking state of the brain. Theta occurs during deep relaxation and is normally entered only during REM (rapid eye movemment) sleep, when dreaming occurs. Delta is a state of deep sleep.
Before Vianna Stibal developed the Theta Healing technique, many believed that it took 20 or 30 years of meditative practice to achieve a Theta brainwave. But, using Vianna's technique, practicioners can enter a Theta brainwave state in a matter of seconds! Because the Theta brainwave state creates a close connection with the creative source of the universe and a powerful ability to work with the subconscious, Theta Healing practicioners are able to connect with this energy and manifest immediate, dramatic physical changes in their clients, sometimes resulting in miraculous healings.
How long are sessions?
Sessions range from 30-75 minutes, depending on the needs and budget of the client. Short sessions (30 minutes) are available for animals, regular clients, and other situations where a full session is not needed. It is recommended that you do a full 75 minute session for your first appointment, so that you and Dawn will have enough time to discuss your background, the Theta Technique, and learn how to do muscle testing.
I used to have condition X, but after a few Theta Sessions with Dawn, I feel great. Should I keep going for more?
If you are like the vast majority of people who have tried Theta Healing, you probably have some physical or emotional condition that causes you pain, stress, and/or disability, and all the conventional and alternative healing methods you have tried have left you unsatisfied. Initially, probably the only thing you care about in your Theta Healing sessions is dealing with your condition. But, after you have some experience with Theta's holistic therapy medicine, it will open your eyes to the amazing potential it has to improve every aspect of your life - career, relationships, health, finances, emotional makeup, and - last but not least - helping you find the meaning and purpose in your life.
As the client, you decide what your goals are for Theta Healing. If your goal is simply to recover from some condition, you may not feel the need to do any more work, and that's fine. But most people realize the tremendous benefits Theta Healing can bring us, and see recovery from their symptoms as just the first step on the road to a better life.
How often should I do Theta Healing sessions?
There is no "right" answer - it really depends on what your goals are and how much of your time, energy, and other resources you are willing to commit to achieve those goals. It's common for people to do weekly sessions at first until they've addressed all the major issues that brought them to seek healing. Some people like to use Theta to help prepare for big life events; some just use this holistic therapy medicine when they get sick or injured; others prefer to do monthly sessions to "keep on top of things" and address all the things that have come up in their lives. And still others, like Dawn, are so fascinated with the magic of Theta that they do privates every week forever and attend every Theta Healing seminar, practice group, and event possible.
How can I pay for the sessions?
You can pay by cash, check, money order, or PayPal. All payments must be made in full at the time services are rendered.
Is it better to do sessions in person or over the phone?
Theta Healing works equally well in person or over the phone - distance is not a factor. In general, Dawn prefers phone sessions because it is more convenient, cheaper, and easier on everyone involved to work over the phone, as there is no need to spend time travelling or fighting traffic, you can relax comfortably at home, and Dawn has found that the remote sessions can allow her to get into a deeper theta state that helps facilitate more powerful healings.
What should I do to prepare for a Theta Healing session?
The most important thing to do is to determine what your goal is for the session. For example, you might want to get along with your boss better, or you might be sick with the flu and just want to feel better. Ask yourself: "if I could change anything in my life, what would it be?".
Physically, you want to be comfortable and relaxed, and (if you are doing a session over the phone) be sure to pick a quiet place where you will not be disturbed during your session. If you drink water before and during the session it will help you to stay hydrated so your muscle test results will be clearer.
What exactly is the Theta Healing practicioner doing during the core belief work and physical healing?
The simplest description is that it is focused prayer and meditation. For example, during a session it may be discovered that the client holds the belief "Money is the root of all evil" (we know this because the client muscle tests strong when he says "Money is the root of all evil"). The practicioner will ask the client, "Do you want to change this belief?", and if the client agrees to change it, the practicioner then enters the meditative state and uses the Theta Technique to pray to a higher power to make the change. This might take anywhere from a split second to a few minutes. After the change is completed, the practicioner will muscle test the client again to ensure that the belief has changed in the body (subconscious) and is now totally gone.
Is Theta Healing associated with any Church or religious organization?
No. Theta Healing is a spiritual practice that is not affiliated with any Church or other form of religious organization. People from all manners of faiths and backgrounds - including atheists and agnostics - are welcome to share the amazing benefits of Theta Healing and experience the alternative healing power of this method.
Do I have to believe in God for Theta Healing to work?
You are not required to believe in any particular dogma or view of God or religion in order to benefit from Theta Healing. All that is required is that you accept responsibility for your life, and are open to the concept that there is some form of higher power. For some people the higher power is God, for others it is the Universe. We will use the terminology you are most comfortable with - "God", "The Creator of All That Is", "Source", "Goddess", "The Universe", "The Divine", and "Life" are common terms Theta Healing practitioners use interchangably.
Why does this sound a lot like the various 12 step programs?
Theta Healing is a spiritual practice that has much in common with the various 12 step programs. In fact, if you study the 12 steps closely, you will find that Theta Healing could be described as an alternate technology for working the 12 steps in a faster and more comprehensive way than is done in traditional 12 step programs. Even so, 12 step programs are powerful spiritual healing tools that have effected tremendous positive change in the lives of millions of people, and Theta Healing and 12 step programs make great complements to each other.
Can Theta Healing be used over the Internet?
While it is possible to do a Theta Healing session through the Internet using some form of online chat, it is recommended do this alternative healing method over the phone instead. Most people can talk much faster than they can type, so using the phone allows you to do more in the same amount of time. Also, the voice interaction allows the practicioner to pick up subtle clues in the client's voice. However, for those who do not have access to affordable, reliable phone service, doing sessions through online chat is a good option.
How can I learn more about muscle testing?
You can search for "muscle testing" in any Internet search engine and turn up hundreds of sites with more information about muscle testing. However, Theta Healing practitioners do not agree with those who trumpet muscle testing as a way to tap into "universal truth", or as the ultimate diagnostic tool to determine what supplements or herbs or foods are good for a person. From the Theta perspective, muscle testing reflects what a person's body-held, or subconscious, beliefs are - which may or not be the same as truth.
